Nokkenastandwiel voor de distributieaandrijving van de Ingenium-motorfamilie – de 2.0L en 3.0L diesel- en 3.0L benzinemotoren. Het is gemonteerd aan het uiteinde van de nokkenas, wordt aangedreven door de distributieketting vanaf de krukas en fixeert de rotatiepositie van de nokkenas.

Door de aandrijving van de ketting naar de nokkenas over te brengen, zorgt het tandwiel ervoor dat het openen en sluiten van de kleppen correct getimed blijft met de zuigerbeweging. De tanden grijpen direct in de distributieketting, dus een goede staat van het tandwiel is essentieel om een nauwkeurige kleptiming te behouden.
