Where does this belt run?
The belt runs from the crankshaft pulley over the automatic tensioner and idler pulleys to the engine ancillaries on the 2.0 petrol Discovery Sport and Evoque L538. Belt tension is held automatically, so the belt and tensioner are usually replaced together.
When should the accessory drive belt be replaced?
Replace the accessory drive belt when the ribs crack or glaze, edges fray, or it squeals on start-up, on the 2.0 petrol Discovery Sport and Evoque L538. Oil contamination or a worn automatic tensioner also call for renewal of the belt.
