Why do turbochargers fail on the Puma 2.4 TDCi?

Turbo failure on the Puma 2.4 diesel typically traces back to oil supply. A blocked or coked feed pipe, extended oil change intervals or a worn drain line starves the centre bearing, and shaft play follows. Fitting a new turbo without clearing the oil feed and drain usually kills the replacement too.
