Bovenste Radiatorslang voor het 2.5L 300 TDi 4-cilinder turbodieselmotor koelsysteem.

Deze slang verbindt de koelvloeistofuitlaat van de motor bij het thermostaathuis met de bovenste inlaat van de radiateur, en transporteert hete koelvloeistof van de motor om af te koelen. Vervang bij het eerste teken van zwelling, scheurvorming of zachtheid. Vervanging wordt aanbevolen wanneer het koelsysteem wordt afgetapt of de thermostaat wordt vervangen.

What does the ESR2298 radiator top hose do?
The ESR2298 radiator top hose carries hot coolant from the thermostat housing at the top of the 300Tdi engine into the top of the radiator. It's the outlet side of the cooling circuit, so it sees the highest coolant temperatures and full system pressure.
Which vehicles does this top hose fit?
The ESR2298 top hose fits the Defender from 1987 to 2006 with the 2.5 litre 300Tdi diesel. It's a moulded hose, so the bends and length match the original routing from the thermostat housing to the radiator. This is the top hose, not the bottom radiator hose.
When should the radiator top hose be replaced?
Replace the top hose when it feels soft, spongy or swollen, shows cracking near the clamp ends, or weeps coolant. On 300Tdi Defenders the hoses harden with age and heat cycling, and a burst top hose dumps coolant fast enough to overheat the engine. Many owners change both hoses together.
