Frequently asked questions

What is the LR020610LR crankshaft oil seal?
The LR020610LR is the crankshaft oil seal for the Puma Defender, sealing where the crankshaft exits the cylinder block. It keeps engine oil in and prevents leaks at the crankshaft on the 2.4L and 2.2L Puma diesels.
Which vehicles and engines does it fit?
It fits the Defender (2007-2016 Puma): the 2.4L Duratorq-TDCi (140PS) from VIN 7A000001 to BA999999, and the 2.2L 122PS from VIN CA000001. It does not fit pre-2007 Defenders with the Td5 or 300TDi engines.
Does the crankshaft seal need renewing when disturbed?
This crankshaft seal is typically renewed whenever it's disturbed, because the old seal won't reseal reliably once removed. A leaking crank seal shows as oil at the front or rear of the engine, so fit a new one if you find a leak.
