Frequently asked questions

What is the high-mounted stop lamp?
The high-mounted stop lamp is the centre third brake light, mounted high at the rear of the Discovery 4 (2010-2016). It lights with the brake lights to give following traffic a raised, central brake signal.
How do I confirm this rear lamp fits my Discovery 4?
It fits the Discovery 4 (2010-2016), but there's a VIN break at GA787111, so the lamp differs before and after that point. Check your VIN against that break before ordering to get the correct version.
Where is the high-mounted stop lamp fitted?
It's mounted centrally at the top of the Discovery 4's rear, above the number plate area. It's part of the exterior lighting, wired into the brake light circuit, so it illuminates whenever the brakes are applied.
