What is the EGR O-ring (LR084673)?
This O-ring seals a joint in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) circuit of the 2.0L AJ200 four-cylinder diesel engine. It keeps a gas-tight connection where cooled exhaust gas is routed back into the intake, and is renewed whenever the EGR joint is disturbed.
Should the EGR O-ring be reused?
Replace this EGR O-ring rather than reusing it whenever the joint is opened. A hardened or set seal can let exhaust gas leak, so it's renewed as standard during EGR or related work on the 2.0L diesel engine. It's a low-cost seal that prevents a leak later.
