What is the MTC8332LR roof capping for?
The MTC8332LR is the front roof capping for the right-hand side of the Land Rover Defender. It's an external capping section fitted along the right front edge of the roof, covering the joint between the roof panel and the bodyside and closing that seam against water.
Why does the roof capping need replacing?
Corrosion or sealant failure at the roof-to-body seam is a common cause of water getting into the Defender cab. The capping protects the sealant beneath and gives the finished gutter line, so it's renewed as part of that repair on the Land Rover Defender.
Which side does this capping fit?
This is the right-hand front roof capping for the Land Rover Defender up to 2016, fitting 90 and 110 wheelbase, Station Wagon, Chassis Cab, Pick-Up and HICAP. The left-hand capping is a separate part, so confirm the side before ordering.
