Frequently asked questions

What does the PC112292LR clevis pin do?
The PC112292LR is the pivot pin in the brake pedal linkage on the Land Rover Defender (Puma, 2007-2016). It passes through the clevis on the brake servo pushrod and the eye at the top of the brake pedal, transferring pedal travel into the pushrod while letting the joint articulate.
How do I know if I need PC112292LR or PC112291?
The PC112292LR fits the Defender (Puma) from VIN (V)7A736567 onwards. Earlier vehicles up to VIN (V)7A736566 use PC112291 instead. Check your VIN against that split before ordering, as the two pins are not interchangeable.
What are the signs the clevis pin is worn?
Wear on the pin or in its bore introduces free play at the brake pedal and a vague initial feel on the Defender (Puma). Replacing the PC112292LR clevis pin and its retaining clip removes the lost motion in the pedal linkage.
