Frequently asked questions

What is a fly screen and what does it do?

A fly screen is a mesh insert fitted across an air intake, vent, or window opening. It keeps insects and debris out while still letting air pass through, protecting the system behind it without restricting airflow.

Where would a fly screen like this typically be fitted?

Fly screens are typically fitted over an air intake, door vent, or window aperture, depending on the model. Check the mounting point of your existing screen before ordering to confirm the fitment matches.

Does a fly screen reduce airflow or cooling to the system it protects?

No, a correctly sized fly screen is designed to filter out insects and debris while letting air pass through freely, so it typically has minimal effect on airflow or cooling.
