What is the brake hose kit and what does it do?
The brake hose kit is a set of braided stainless brake hoses for the Range Rover Classic (up to 1994). They carry brake fluid from the chassis-mounted hard lines to the moving axle and hub fittings, feeding the calipers as the suspension moves.
Why are these hoses 40mm longer than standard?
The hoses are extended 40mm over standard to suit raised-suspension setups, where a standard-length hose would be pulled taut at full axle articulation. On a standard-height Range Rover Classic the extra length isn't needed.
How many hoses are in the kit?
The kit contains six hoses with metric fittings for ABS applications and includes the fixings for installation. It covers the full vehicle, so you don't need to source hoses separately.
What is the benefit of the stainless braid?
The stainless steel outer braid resists the swelling under pressure that softens pedal feel during heavy braking, giving a firmer, more consistent pedal than standard rubber hose. A PTFE inner sits beneath a clear protective cover.
