Remleidingsplitter is een drieweg hydraulische verbinding in het achterremsysteem, die de inkomende remleiding verbindt met de twee stijve leidingen die de linker- en rechterachterwielen voeden.

Het verdeelt de hydraulische druk van een enkele aanvoerleiding naar beide zijden van de achteras en biedt het montage- en afdichtingspunt voor de drie leidingaansluitingen. Voor niet-ABS achterremsystemen.

What does the rear brake pipe T-piece do?
The rear brake pipe T-piece is a three-way hydraulic union that splits the single incoming brake line into the two pipes feeding the left and right rear brakes on a Defender. It distributes pressure evenly to both sides of the rear axle and seals the three pipe connections. This is a genuine Land Rover part.
Will this T-piece fit a Defender with ABS?
No, this rear brake T-piece is for non-ABS Defenders only, covering 1987 to 2016 with the less-ABS rear brake layout. Vehicles with four-wheel ABS route the rear circuit differently and don't use this union. Confirm your Defender is the non-ABS setup before ordering this rear T-piece.
Why would the rear brake T-piece need replacing?
The rear brake T-piece is usually replaced when corrosion or a seized union causes a fluid leak at one of its three connections, or when the threads are damaged during pipe removal. A weeping junction loses rear braking pressure, so it's renewed and the system bled once the rear pipes are reconnected.
