What is the T4K1009 rear brake hose for?

This is the rear flexible brake hose for the Jaguar I-PACE (X590) from 2018. It links the rigid brake pipe on the body to the rear caliper, carrying hydraulic pressure while allowing the suspension to move through its full travel.
