Frequently asked questions

What is the T2H53872-M rear brake pad set?
The T2H53872-M is a Mintex rear axle brake pad set for the Jaguar XF (X260), XE (X760) and E-PACE (X540). The pads seat in the rear caliper and clamp the rear disc to provide rear braking torque and stability under braking. It's supplied as a complete rear axle set.
How many pads are in this rear set?
This set contains the pads for the complete rear axle, covering both rear wheels. Brake pads are renewed as an axle set so both sides wear and bed in evenly. Replacing just one side leaves the rear braking unbalanced, so always fit the full set.
What else should I inspect with new rear pads?
Check the rear disc for thickness, scoring and lipping, and make sure the caliper guide pins slide freely before fitting the Mintex pads. A sticking slide wears one pad faster than the other. Rear pads generally last longer than fronts but still need renewing as a set.
