What does the LR156918G tyre pressure sensor do?
The LR156918G is a wheel-mounted TPMS sensor fitted at the valve position inside the rim. It measures inflation pressure and internal air temperature and transmits the reading by 433 MHz radio link to the vehicle's TPMS receiver, which raises the low-pressure warning. Sensor type TG1D.
How many tyre pressure sensors are needed per vehicle?
Four sensors are used per vehicle, one per road wheel. Each sensor must be registered to the vehicle after fitting so the module can associate it with the correct wheel position, and the valve seal and core should be renewed at the same time.
Does the sensor need programming after fitting?
Yes, each sensor must be registered to the vehicle after fitting so the TPMS module associates it with the correct wheel position. Without registration the module can't match the 433 MHz signal to a wheel, so the low-pressure warning may not clear.
