What is the ADU2066L glovebox lamp assembly?
The ADU2066L is the interior lamp that lights the glove box compartment. It's a complete assembly with bulb, lens and housing, switched so the light comes on when the glove box lid opens and goes off when it's closed. It replaces a unit with a failed bulb, switch or lens.
Which Land Rovers does the ADU2066L glovebox lamp fit?
The ADU2066L fits the Discovery 1 (1989-1998), Discovery 2 (1998-2004), Freelander 1 (1996-2006) and Range Rover Classic. On Discovery 1 it applies from VIN FA393361 to WA799999, and on Range Rover Classic from VIN JA610294, so check your VIN on the earlier models.
Why isn't my glovebox light working?
A dead glovebox light is usually a blown bulb, a failed lid switch, or a cracked lens, and the ADU2066L replaces the whole assembly to cover all three. Because it's switched by the glove box lid, a sticking or misaligned lid switch can also leave the lamp off.
