The LR001949LR is a Genuine Land Rover sealing washer for the differential drain and filler plugs on the front and rear axles. It seals the plug against the axle casing to prevent gear-oil leakage when the plug is refitted.
Does this washer need replacing each time?
Yes. This sealing washer is typically single-use and should be renewed whenever the diff drain or filler plug is removed, for example at an oil service. A reused washer often won't reseal and can let gear oil weep from the plug.
