Frequently asked questions

What is the windscreen washer pump (LR002306) and what does it do?
The windscreen washer pump is the electric pump at the washer fluid reservoir on the Freelander 2. When you operate the washers it draws fluid from the reservoir and delivers it under pressure to the jets to wet the glass ahead of the wiper sweep.
Where is the windscreen washer pump located?
The windscreen washer pump is fitted to the washer fluid reservoir, typically low in the front of the engine bay or accessed behind an inner wing liner. It pushes fluid from the reservoir out to the windscreen washer jets.
How is this different from the headlamp washer pump?
This is the windscreen washer pump, which feeds the screen jets. On Freelander 2 cars fitted with headlamp power wash there's a separate headlamp washer pump on the same reservoir. Check which pump your vehicle needs before ordering, as they aren't interchangeable.
