Frequently asked questions

What is the LR039623 radiator used for?
This is the engine coolant radiator for the 2.2L diesel, manual transmission variant. It dissipates heat from the coolant as it passes through the core, keeping the engine at operating temperature. Fits Discovery Sport, Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque (2012-2018) with the 2.2L diesel.
Why is this specified as the manual transmission variant?
This radiator is the manual-gearbox version. Automatic cars typically use a radiator with an integrated transmission oil cooler, so the core and connections differ. Check your gearbox type before ordering to avoid a cooler-line mismatch.
What are the signs the radiator needs replacing?
A failing radiator usually shows as coolant leaks from the core or end tanks, overheating, or visible corrosion and staining. On the 2.2L diesel Freelander 2, Evoque and Discovery Sport the plastic end tanks can crack with age and thermal cycling.
