Deze klemt een slang op zijn pijp of nippel en houdt de verbinding stevig vast tegen druk, waardoor lekken of luchtinlaat bij de aansluiting wordt voorkomen. Typische toepassingen zijn onder andere intercooler- en koelvloeistofslangen, luchtinlaatleidingen en de brandstofvuldopslang. Vervang de klem als deze gecorrodeerd, vervormd is of de slang niet meer goed vasthoudt.
