What are the signs the GA3360 bearing kit is needed?
Worn gearbox bearings usually show up as a rumble or whine that rises with road speed, and as excessive shaft end-float once the gearbox is stripped down. Renewing the full bearing set at overhaul avoids finding a second worn bearing later.
Does the GA3360 bearing kit fit every Series IIA gearbox?
On the Series IIA (1961-1971), this kit only fits gearboxes from suffix B onwards; it doesn't fit earlier suffix A gearboxes. It fits all Series III (1971-1985) gearboxes. Check the suffix letter on your gearbox if you have a Series IIA.
