What is the transmission control module used for?
The transmission control module governs gear selection and shift scheduling for the ZF 8HP-family eight-speed automatic on the Jaguar XE, XF and F-PACE. It controls line pressure and the torque converter lock-up clutch through the mechatronic solenoids and co-ordinates torque with the engine ECM over CAN.
Can this transmission control module be fitted plug-and-play?
No. A replacement transmission control module must be configured and programmed to the vehicle with approved diagnostic equipment before the transmission will operate correctly on the Jaguar XE, XF and F-PACE. It will not work without being coded to the car.
Which Jaguars does this control module fit?
This transmission control module fits the Jaguar XE (2015 on), XF (2016 on, to 21MY) and F-PACE (2016 on, to 21MY) with the ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic. Later model years use a different module, so confirm your model year and transmission before ordering.
