Afdichtingsring, een 14 mm aluminium afdichtring voor de aftapplug van de carterpan (oliepan), die het afdichtingselement van het motorsmeersysteem vormt.

Geplaatst tussen de aftapplug en de carterpanuitsparing, vervormt de zachte aluminium ring wanneer de plug wordt vastgedraaid om een oliedichte afdichting te vormen, en wordt elke keer vervangen wanneer de plug wordt verwijderd. Dezelfde ring dient ook voor aftappluggen van versnellingsbakken en verdeelbakken met een overeenkomstige schroefdraadmaat.

The ALU1403LLR is a 14mm aluminium crush washer fitted to the sump (oil pan) drain plug. It sits between the drain plug and the sump boss, deforming under torque to create an oil-tight seal.
How many of these washers do I need for an oil change?
Just one, for the sump drain plug. The same washer also fits gearbox and transfer box drain plugs of matching thread size, so you may need extras if you're servicing those at the same time.
Can the ALU1403LLR crush washer be reused?
No. Aluminium crush washers deform permanently when torqued down to form their seal, so they should be replaced every time the drain plug is removed rather than reused.
