Frequently asked questions

What does the DA5007 Air Spring Conversion Kit do on a Discovery?

This kit converts the Discovery 2's rear self-levelling air suspension to a conventional coil-spring setup, removing the air suspension entirely. It's a heavy-duty spring rate kit that also raises the vehicle's ride height, front and rear.

Does this kit include springs for all four corners or just the rear?

The DA5007 kit includes coil springs and shock absorbers for both the front and rear, even though it's marketed for the Discovery 2's rear air suspension delete. That gives coil suspension at all four corners in one kit.

Why do owners convert the Discovery 2 from air to coil suspension?

Discovery 2 air springs typically fail as the rubber bellows perish or the compressor and valve block wear out, causing sagging or a vehicle that won't self-level. A coil conversion removes those air suspension components entirely.

Which Discovery model years does this conversion kit fit?

This kit fits the Land Rover Discovery 2, built 1998 to 2004, and is designed specifically to delete that model's rear air suspension. It's not intended for other Discovery generations, so confirm your vehicle is a Discovery 2 first.
