Brand Laser

Frequently asked questions

What is the DA1634 fir tree fastener used for?

The DA1634 fir tree fastener is a push-fit trim clip that holds roof insulation against the vehicle body. Its ribbed fir-tree shank pushes into a pre-formed hole and grips without extra fixings, so the insulation panel stays put but can still be removed for service.

How many fir tree fasteners do I need?

Roof insulation panels are typically held by several fir tree fasteners spaced around the panel, so most jobs need more than one. They're usually supplied individually, so count the fixing holes on your insulation before ordering to buy the right quantity.

Can the fir tree fastener be reused?

Fir tree fasteners can sometimes be reused if the ribbed shank isn't damaged when pulled out, but the barbs often deform on removal and lose grip. Fitting fresh clips is usually the safer choice so the roof insulation stays secure. No tools are needed, they push in by hand.
