What is this acoustic mat and what does it do?
This is a moulded acoustic mat for the Defender Puma cab, shaped from dense polyurethane to follow the floor, transmission tunnel and bulkhead contours without trimming. Its mass damps panel vibration and cuts engine, transmission and road noise entering the cabin.
Does this fit both 2.2 and 2.4 TDCi Defenders?
No. This mat is designed specifically for the 2.4 TDCi Puma engine (2007-2011) and does not fit the 2.2 TDCi variant. Check your engine badge or VIN plate to confirm which TDCi you have before ordering.
Can this mat be removed for cleaning?
Yes. The surface is hard wearing and the mat can be lifted out of the cab and washed, then refitted once dry.
