What is this steering wheel and what does it replace?
This is a replacement steering wheel that mounts to the splined column shaft in place of the factory wheel. It carries the horn contact and transmits your steering input through the column to the steering box or rack.
Will this fit directly onto my existing column?
Mountney steering wheels typically need a matching boss adapter to fit the splined column, since aftermarket wheels use a different bolt pattern to the factory hub. Check you have the correct boss kit for your vehicle before fitting.
Does the horn still work after fitting?
Yes, in most cases. The horn contact is carried through the boss kit and steering wheel centre, so as long as the correct boss adapter for your model is used, the horn button continues to operate as before.
