What are recovery tracks used for?
Recovery tracks help a vehicle regain traction when it's bogged down in sand, mud, snow or soft ground. You place them under the driven wheels to give the tyres a firm, grippy surface to bite against, so the vehicle can drive itself clear without a tow or winch.
How do you use recovery tracks?
Clear the ground ahead of the stuck wheels, then wedge a track under each driven tyre so the moulded surface grips the tread. Drive forward gently to let the tyres climb onto the tracks and out of the soft ground. They stack together for compact storage afterwards.
Are these recovery tracks the same as bridging ladders?
No, these are traction recovery boards, not bridging ladders. They're designed to sit under the wheels to restore grip, not to span gaps or ditches. They're supplied as a pair, which covers both driven wheels on one axle.
