Frequently asked questions

What is the panel rivet (302222) used for?
This is a 3/16 inch round-head solid rivet for fixing body panels and brackets. It's set by forming a closing head on the plain end, giving a permanent domed-head fixing. It suits the Land Rover Series 1, 2 and 3 body panels. Supplied as a single rivet.
How many panel rivets will I need?
Panel rivets are sold individually, so count the holes in the panel or bracket you're fixing and order to suit, plus a few spares. Solid rivets can deform on setting, so having extras avoids stopping mid-job. Larger body repairs can need a good quantity.
How is a solid panel rivet fitted?
A solid round-head rivet is set by supporting the domed head and forming the plain end into a closing head, typically with a rivet snap and dolly or a squeeze tool. It's not a pop rivet, so you need access to both sides of the panel.
