The steering track rod connects the steering gear to the road wheels on the Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494. It transmits steering input from the rack through the track rod ends and sets the front wheel toe geometry.

A worn track rod typically shows as loose or vague steering, uneven front tyre wear, or knocking from the front end. Because it sets front toe geometry, a four-wheel alignment is typically needed after fitting a new one.
