Frequently asked questions

What is the front lower rear suspension arm and what does it do?
The front lower rear suspension arm is the rearward lower control arm in the front multi-link suspension of the Range Rover L405 (2013-2022). It locates the lower end of the wheel hub and controls its movement under load, transmitting forces into the chassis through its pivot bushes. This is the left-hand arm.
Why do these suspension arms fail on the L405?
These suspension arms typically fail at the pivot bushes, which perish with age and mileage. Worn bushes usually bring on knocking over rough surfaces, loose-feeling steering and alignment that won't stay set. On the L405 it's worth checking both sides once one has worn.
This is the left-hand arm, is the right-hand side different?
This is the left-hand arm. The right-hand side uses a separate handed part, so order by side. The front lower arms typically wear at a similar rate, so many fit both sides together and set the wheel alignment afterwards on the Range Rover L405.
