What is the TF149A threaded collar?
The TF149A is a weld-on threaded collar that acts as the mounting can for the TF149 hydraulic bump stop. It's welded to the chassis bracket or bump stop turret and carries the bump stop body, with an internal thread that engages the TF149's threaded outer body.
What does the TF149A collar let you do?
The TF149A lets you screw the TF149 bump stop in or out to set the point in the compression stroke where it begins to act, then lock it in position. Because it's welded rather than bolted, you set the mounting position to suit your axle travel.
Can the TF149A be used for a new bump stop installation?
Yes. The TF149A is supplied as a bare collar for fabrication, so it works as the mounting for a new TF149 installation or as a replacement for a damaged can. The fabricator welds it to suit the available space around the axle.
