Frequently asked questions

What does the TF8040 suspension link do?
The TF8040 is a pair of ride height sensor link rods that give a 1.5-inch lift on air-suspension Land Rovers. Each rod replaces the fixed factory link between the ride height sensor and its pick-up, offsetting the position the sensor reports so the vehicle sits higher.
Which models does the TF8040 fit?
The TF8040 fits the Land Rover Defender 2020+ (L663) with all engines, and the Discovery 5 from 2017 onward from VIN JA000001. Both must have factory air suspension. Use your VIN to confirm the build.
Is the TF8040 a direct replacement or does it need modification?
The TF8040 is a direct replacement for the original ride height sensor links, so no cutting or permanent modification is needed. On the Defender L663 it swaps in for the factory link to give an instant 1.5-inch lift.
Why do the ride height sensor links need changing for a lift?
Air-suspension Land Rovers set ride height from the sensor readings, so raising the vehicle means changing what the sensor reports. The TF8040 links do that mechanically, holding a 1.5-inch lift on the Defender L663 and Discovery 5.
