What is the LR137873LR radiator hose for?
The LR137873LR is a moulded radiator hose for the engine cooling circuit on the 3.0L AJ20P6 Ingenium inline-six petrol engine. It carries coolant between the radiator and the engine and is shaped to clear surrounding underbonnet components without kinking or chafing. It's a Genuine Land Rover part.
Why do coolant hoses need replacing rather than repairing?
Coolant hoses are replaced, not repaired, because the rubber degrades from the inside. Softening, swelling or hardening at the clamp faces means the reinforcement is breaking down, and a hose that fails on the 3.0L AJ20P6 engine can dump coolant and cause rapid overheating. A weeping hose should be renewed.
Which vehicles use this radiator hose?
