What is this rear brake disc?

This is a vented 365mm rear brake disc for the 20-inch rear disc and caliper package. It mounts on the rear hub and rotates with the wheel while the caliper clamps the pads against both faces to slow the vehicle. Internal vanes draw cooling air through the disc to shed braking heat.

Which vehicles take the 365mm 20-inch rear disc?

How many rear discs are needed?

Two rear discs are needed to renew the axle. Brake discs should be replaced as an axle pair so braking stays balanced, and a fresh set of rear pads should be fitted at the same time so the new friction material beds evenly to the disc.

Rear brake discs are replaced once worn below minimum thickness, scored, or heat-distorted, which can show as vibration or reduced braking. On these models the rear caliper also handles the electric park brake, so a badly corroded rear disc can affect parking-brake hold.
