The LR127084LR is a hypoid gear oil for the limited-slip rear axle (LSD) fitted to some Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque models. It lubricates the crown wheel, pinion and the limited-slip clutch pack in the rear differential. Genuine Land Rover fluid.
Why does a limited-slip axle need special oil?
A limited-slip differential needs oil with the right friction additives so the clutch packs engage smoothly without chatter. Using standard axle oil in the LSD rear axle of a Discovery Sport or Evoque can cause juddering. Always use the correct LSD-rated fluid.
Which models take this axle oil?
