Frequently asked questions

What is the front lower rear suspension arm and what does it do?
The front lower rear suspension arm is the rearward lower control arm in the front multi-link suspension of the Range Rover L405 (2013-2022). It locates the bottom of the wheel hub and controls its position under load, passing forces into the chassis through its pivot bushes.
Why do these suspension arm bushes fail and what are the symptoms?
These suspension arms usually fail at the pivot bushes, which perish and wear with age and mileage. Worn bushes typically cause knocking over uneven surfaces, vague steering and alignment that won't hold. Left unchecked it can wear tyres unevenly on the L405.
This is the right-hand arm, is the left-hand side a different part?
This is the right-hand arm. The left-hand side uses a different, handed part, so order by side. The lower control arms typically wear at a similar rate, so many workshops replace both sides together and reset the wheel alignment afterwards on the Range Rover L405.
