What does this turbocharger O-ring seal?
This O-ring is a Genuine Land Rover seal for a turbocharger oil and coolant connection on the 2.0-litre Ingenium (AJ200) engine. It maintains pressure integrity where the oil and coolant lines meet the turbo. It fits the Defender 2020+, Discovery 5, Discovery Sport and Range Rover L460.
Where does this O-ring sit on the engine?
This O-ring sits at the turbocharger, sealing the union where the oil feed and return and the coolant lines connect on the AJ200 four-cylinder engine. It keeps oil and coolant separated and contained under pressure at that joint.
Should the O-ring be replaced when the turbo union is opened?
Replace this O-ring whenever the turbocharger oil or coolant union is disturbed. Once compressed, an O-ring typically will not reseal, so a reused one can weep at the pressurised joint. Fit a new Genuine seal each time the connection is separated on the AJ200 engine.
