What is the DA6627 con rod bolt?
The DA6627 is a connecting rod bolt that clamps the big-end cap to the connecting rod on the TDV6 diesel engine, holding the big-end bearing shells around the crankshaft journal. It is supplied individually.
Can the con rod bolt be reused?
No, the DA6627 is a torque-to-yield (stretch) bolt and must be renewed whenever the big-end cap is disturbed. Tighten the new bolt to the torque plus angle given in the workshop manual, never reuse the old one.
Which engines does it fit?
It is confirmed for the 2.7 litre TDV6 diesel in the Discovery 3 (2005-2009), Discovery 4 (2010-2016), Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2009) and Jaguar XF and XJ 2.7 diesel. Supplier data also lists 3.0 TDV6 and 3.6/4.4 TDV8, so confirm by part number for those engines.
