What does the EGR valve gasket seal?
The EGR valve gasket seals the inlet side of the exhaust gas recirculation valve on the 2.7L TDV6 diesel. It keeps the EGR valve joint gas-tight so recirculated exhaust gas doesn't leak at the connection.
How many EGR valve gaskets do I need?
Two are required per vehicle. The 2.7L TDV6 EGR valve uses a gasket on each face of the joint, so order both when doing the job rather than a single gasket.
Can the EGR valve gasket be reused?
No. The EGR valve gasket is single-use. Heat and clamping set it to shape, so a removed gasket won't seal reliably. Fit new gaskets whenever the EGR valve is removed on the 2.7L TDV6.
Which vehicles does this EGR gasket fit?
This inlet EGR valve gasket fits the Discovery 3 (2005-2009), Discovery 4 (2010-2016) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2009) with the 2.7L TDV6 diesel and DPF. Discovery 3 and RR Sport run from VIN (V)7A000001; Discovery 4 from (V)AA000001.
