What is the LR012827 fuel injector seal used for?
The LR012827 is the lower fuel injector seal for petrol V8 (AJ) engines, the 4.4L V8 EFI and 4.2L supercharged V8. It seals the lower end of the injector where it meets the manifold, stopping fuel and air leaks.
Which engines does this lower injector seal fit?
This seal fits the 4.4L V8 AJ petrol EFI and 4.2L supercharged V8 petrol on the Discovery 3, Range Rover L322 2002-2009, and Range Rover Sport L320 2005-2009. It does not fit diesel or the 5.0L AJ133 engines.
What is the difference between the lower and upper injector seal?
This is the lower injector seal, sealing the injector to the manifold. The upper seal is a separate part, LR012785LR. A full injector reseal on the V8 AJ petrol uses both, so check which position you need before ordering.
Can the injector seal be reused?
Replace the injector seal every time the injector is removed. These seals are single-use and harden with heat and fuel exposure, so a new lower seal prevents leaks when refitting injectors on the V8 AJ petrol engine.
