What is the LR013063 head gasket used for?
The LR013063 is a Grade 2 cylinder head gasket, 2-hole identification and 1.17mm thick, for the 3.0L V6 diesel (TDV6/SDV6). It seals the cylinder head to the block, containing combustion, coolant and oil.
How do I know if I need Grade 2 or another grade?
The head gasket grade is set by the piston protrusion measured at rebuild, and each grade has a different thickness. Grade 2 (1.17mm, 2-hole) is one option in the range, so measure protrusion or match the marking on the original gasket before ordering.
Which engines does this head gasket fit?
This gasket fits the 3.0L V6 diesel (TDV6/SDV6) only, across the Discovery 4 and 5, Range Rover L322 and L405, Range Rover Sport L320 and L494, and Velar. It does not fit petrol engines.
Can a head gasket be reused?
No. Always fit a new head gasket, never reuse one. Once the head has been torqued down the gasket is compressed and cannot seal again, so a fresh Grade 2 gasket is essential on the 3.0L V6 diesel rebuild.
