Motorkapschakelaar De motorkapschakelaar voor het voertuigbeveiligings- en antidiefstalsysteem. Deze is gemonteerd op de motorkapvergrendeling en detecteert of de motorkap open of gesloten is.

Wanneer het alarm is ingeschakeld, signaleert de schakelaar de carrosserie-regelmodule als de motorkap wordt geopend, waardoor het inbraakalarm wordt geactiveerd. Het geeft ook de status 'motorkap open' door die door het waarschuwingssysteem van het voertuig wordt gebruikt.
