Remschijf voor is de geventileerde rotor die op de voornaaf wordt gemonteerd en het wrijvingsoppervlak vormt voor de voorremklauw en remblokken.

De intern geventileerde constructie zuigt koellucht aan tussen de twee wrijvingsoppervlakken om warmte af te voeren tijdens langdurig of zwaar remmen, waardoor fading van de rem en thermische vervorming worden beperkt.
