Remschijf vóór - Gecoat - een geventileerde remschijf voor de vooras, die deel uitmaakt van de schijfremconstructie vóór.

De schijf is vastgeschroefd aan en roteert mee met de naaf van het voorwiel. Tijdens het remmen drukt de remklauw de remblokken tegen beide frictievlakken, waardoor de bewegingsenergie van het voertuig wordt omgezet in warmte. De intern geventileerde constructie plaatst koelribben tussen de twee vlakken, waardoor lucht door de rotor wordt gezogen om die warmte af te voeren en rem fading te weerstaan tijdens langdurig of zwaar remmen.

Een beschermende coating bedekt de schijf om corrosie op de centrale schijf, randen en koelribben tegen te gaan; de coating op de wrijvingsvlakken slijt weg tijdens het eerste inremmen.
