Remschijf voor - een geventileerde remschijf voor de vooras die deel uitmaakt van de schijfremconstructie aan de voorzijde.

De schijf is vastgeschroefd aan en roteert met de voorwielnaaf. Bij het remmen drukt de remklauw de remblokken tegen beide wrijvingsvlakken, waardoor de momentum van het voertuig wordt omgezet in warmte. De intern geventileerde constructie plaatst koelvinnen tussen de twee vlakken, die lucht door de rotor trekken om die warmte af te voeren en remfading te weerstaan tijdens langdurig of zwaar remmen.
