What is the lower front suspension arm ball joint?

This ball joint forms the bottom pivot between the front lower suspension arm and the wheel knuckle on the Range Rover Sport L320. It carries vertical wheel load while letting the knuckle steer and articulate through suspension travel. This is the 35mm variant.

How do I know I need the 35mm version?
