What does this leak detection pump do?
This leak detection pump is the diagnostic module for the fuel tank evaporative emission (EVAP) system on the Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport L320. Mounted at the tank, it pressurises the sealed vapour circuit during an engine-off self-test and monitors its motor current to detect leaks.
What does the 3 vent pipe variant mean?
This is the variant for the original fuel tank with three vent pipes. The pump has to match the tank's vent pipe arrangement, so check how many vent pipes your tank has before ordering. Fitting the wrong variant will not seal the circuit correctly.
Which models and engines does it fit?
This pump fits the Discovery 3 (2005-2009) with the 4.0 Cologne V6 and 4.4 AJ V8 petrol engines, and the Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2009) with the 4.4 EFI and 4.2 supercharged petrol engines. It suits the original three-vent-pipe tank.
