Distributieketting voor de Rover V8 benzinemotor, onderdeel van de nokkenasaandrijving die zich in het voorste distributiedeksel bevindt.

Deze enkelvoudige rollenketting draagt rotatie over van het krukastandwiel naar het nokkenastandwiel, waardoor de kleptiming wordt gehandhaafd voor een correcte werking van de motor. De ketting loopt in combinatie met de distributiekettingspanner en -geleider. Uitrekken of slijtage van de ketting veroorzaakt variatie in de timing die de motorprestaties en startkarakteristieken beïnvloedt, en de ketting wordt doorgaans vernieuwd als onderdeel van een distributiekettingkit-service.
