Frequently asked questions

What is the LYF000030LR camshaft cover bush for?
The LYF000030LR is a camshaft cover bush for the 4.4L M62 B44 V8 petrol engine in the Range Rover L322 (2002-2009). Each bush seats in the cover around a retaining fastener, sealing the fixing and isolating the cover from the cylinder head so it clamps down without distorting. Genuine Land Rover.
How many of these bushes do I need?
Several LYF000030LR bushes are fitted per camshaft cover, one at each fixing point, on the 4.4 M62 V8 Range Rover L322. Check the number of fixing points on your cover and order a full set, as they're normally replaced together when the cover is removed.
Why do the camshaft cover bushes fail?
The camshaft cover bushes harden and take a permanent set with heat and age on the 4.4 V8 L322, showing as oil seepage around the cover fixings. Once the elastomer perishes it no longer seals the fixing, so renew the bushes whenever the cover is off.
